ROLEPL-AI publishes its Transfer Concept: a roadmap for sustainability and impact

Updated: Sep 30

As ROLEPL-AI comes to its official close on August 31st, 2025, we are proud to share one of its most strategic deliverables: D5.4 – Requirements for Transfer and Implementation.

This report presents the project’s transfer concept, a framework that ensures ROLEPL-AI’s tools, methods, and lessons can live on beyond the project’s lifetime. It provides concrete guidelines for how the AI-based simulation, the pedagogical content, and the research results can be adapted, reused, and scaled across other educational and professional contexts.

To broaden its impact, D5.4 has been translated into all project languages (French, German and Danish), making it accessible to a wider European audience and reinforcing the project’s international dimension.

More than just a technical document, the Transfer Concept reflects on what ROLEPL-AI has achieved:

  • the creation of an AI-based immersive simulation tool for soft skills training;

  • two rounds of pilot experimentations in higher education and adult learning, with valuable feedback from students and teachers;

  • a set of scientific and pedagogical reports exploring the potential and limits of AI in education;

  • and an open-source LLM, trained and released under a permissive license for future use.

Together, these outcomes highlight ROLEPL-AI’s contribution to the digital transformation of education, bridging research, technology, and pedagogy.

The publication of D5.4 is therefore more than a final milestone: it is a way of ensuring that the project’s results remain usable, relevant, and impactful for educators, researchers, and institutions across Europe.
